A creative company based in Atlanta, MONOCANE is the collaboration of Robert Pope and Helen De Groot.
( Robert Pope = Cartoonist + Animation Director )
For over 30 years, Robert Pope has drawn some of the world’s most famous cartoon characters.  He began his career in animation, working for Startoons, IBM Multimedia Publishing Studio,  Crawford Communications, Click3X Atlanta and DAGNABIT animation.  
His animation work for Cartoon Network’s SPACE GHOST COAST TO COAST led to an opportunity to draw a comic book version of the show for DC Comics.  Robert then began contributing covers and story pencils for SCOOBY-DOO, LOONEY TUNES, BATMAN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD and a host of other CN properties, including JOHNNY BRAVO, THE POWERPUFF GIRLS, and many others.  
Robert has also contributed art to comics publishers BOOM, IDW, DISNEY PUBLISHING, as well as magazine illustrations for Toyfare, Inquest Gaming and others.  
Robert draws SNOOPY and the PEANUTS gang for Simon and Schuster children’s books and graphic novels, as well as the LOONEY TUNES gang for DC, as well as creating storyboards, graphics and more for a host of corporate clients.  
Robert is actively involved in the arts community and is a member of the National Cartoonists Society and ASIFA.

( Helen De Groot = Graphic Designer + Director )
Helen grew up and studied design communications in Ireland.
Between 1990 and 1998 she worked in England and Singapore before settling in the US.
At first Helen worked in print design in England, spending her free time with film students, art directing and designing motion graphics. Then she joined VHQ (Video Headquarters) Singapore, a creative post house dealing with an international clientele from the South East Asian Region and beyond, designing and directing work for a wide variety of Channels and Production companies. While Helen worked with Click3X Atlanta, she designed and directed work for numerous Latin American and U.S. clients included Discovery, Discovery Health Channel, TLC, The Golf Channel, MBC network, HGTV and PBS. Helen also worked on a variety of commercial spots.
Her work has been honored by the NY Festival and BDA (Broadcast Design Association). She also received an Adobe Award for excellence in Graphic Design.
In 2001 Helen set up MONOCANE and worked with numerous local Atlanta clients on a variety of broadcast design and print projects.
2005 marked the start of a family and a time dedicated to caring for it.
From 2013 on Helen has been collaborating with Robert Pope on Simon and Schuster PEANUTS books and a variety of creative projects like panoramic graphics for Cedar Fair Entertainment and graphics for video displays. Helen also enjoys working on a variety of print, web and experiential marketing event projects.​​​​​​​
